Trisha's pov
Here we all are once again together. Me, Sanjana, Yug, Rehana, and Rehan. But still, something is missing yes, Kanika and Tarun is now part of our group. It's been only few days and Kanii become our friend too, she is so sweet girl. And Tarun, I can't explain feeling about him, sometimes my mind says something and heart something. This is too difficult to choose between heart and mind.
"kaisi hain yeh doori, kaisi majboori maine nazron se tujhe chooliyaaa... ho ho hon kabhi teri khusboo, kabhi teri baatein bin maangein ye jahan pa liya tu hi dil ki hain ronak, tu hi janmon ki daulat,"
Song is playing in Rehana's phone. And I think it fits on my condition. His eyes always remind me of someone, someone whom I know, I know very well. But who?
"Trishaaaa" My trance broke when Yug calls me. Oh, how I forget they both are together.
This is 2 pm of noon and our college is finish. And here we all are under the tree where benches are situated for students. If it would have been any other day, Sanjana would have been reading a book, but today her crime partner had come. They must be thinking mischievous. And this sounds scary.
"Kya chal raha hai Sanjana tere khurafati dimaag me" Yug asked her with the same sparkle of mischief in his eyes.
"Truth and dare what say guys" She asked, or should I say she ordered us.
"I am in" Yug answered with the full of energy.
"Me too" Rehana also in. It means it is a compulsion on me and Rehan.
"Okay then we are also in" I said with a long sigh. And here the game began.
Yug's Pov
Today is the best day. We all are together and happy. Yes Sanjana is more happy then earlier, I know the reason.... Ahem.. her husband...
And she exclaimed about truth or dare. Now who can deny truth or dare. And if we all are in then our "reality check" aka Trisha will also in.
"Yuggg... Look at the bottle, it seems like it's gonna be full of funnn" Sanjana said to me while gesturing towards the bottle which shows it's my turn. "Ok so choose Truth or dare" Rehana asked me.
"Of course, Dare Ladies and gentlemen" And here all are in deep thoughts for giving me life changing or ending, Dare, ok!! now what say friend are like this. When they see that you are in danger they never help and only increase your problems. Especially when, you are humiliating in front of anyone.
Ok there is an exception they help in your hard time, but in a real hard time, real life struggles.
"So Yug here Dare for you" Sajana cheers up like a kiddo.
"What... " We all chorus.
"Look, there... " She gestures towards a bench where a girl is sitting alone and reading a book. She is new to me, because I have never seen this girl here before. She is wearing a yellow color frock, with heels. "You have to go there and as usual with your charm, make her your girlfriend" she continues.
"NOOO" Trisha shouted.
"Why the hell are you shouting." Rehan scolds her.
"You shut up, Yug, YOU. AREE. NOT. PROPOSING. HER. am I clear" She stated clearly and loudly.
"Oh come on Trisha, hamesha ka ye hi hai tera, 'don't propose her', 'don't flirt with her', just shut up and see, my boxy signature smile, and how she melted under the charm of this handsome ME."
"Yug tu samajh nahi raha vo vesi ladki nahi hai, vo nahi patne wali"
"koi baat nahi Trisha, but ab dare mila hai to pura to karne de" After saying this I am going towards that girl, and still Trisha is saying no-no and no. She always does the same. But today she is extra serious.
There she was, sitting under the shade of a grand old tree, completely lost in the pages of her book. The golden sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting a soft glow around her. Her yellow frock fluttered gently in the breeze, and those delicate heels, though completely unnecessary for someone who seemed so effortlessly graceful, added a touch of elegance.
I've seen beautiful girls-plenty of them, actually. But her? She wasn't just beautiful; she was... otherworldly. The kind of beauty you don't find on instagram, bumble or in club lights or in collage but in dreams you didn't know you had.
Her big, almond-shaped eyes were so engrossed in the book that I couldn't tell if they were hazel, brown, or black. They just shone. And those lips... soft, small, and with the kind of natural fullness that made my breath hitch. A hint of a pout. What would it feel like to kiss those lips?
Fuck she is controlling me.
And her neck-elegant, long, like a painter's muse. It rose proudly, effortlessly holding up that angelic face. She was petite, her frame smaller than mine, but every bit of her was perfectly proportioned. Usually, I'd flash my signature grin and take the challenge head-on. I'm the guy, after all-the one who leaves girls giggling and blushing within seconds. But as I stood there, heart pounding against my ribcage like it had forgotten how to beat, I realized something.
For the first time in my life, I was speechless. My words-the ones that always flowed so easily-were tangled up, stuck somewhere between my brain and my lips. I couldn't look away, couldn't think of a single clever line.
All I could do was admire her. The way she sat, completely unaware of the storm she'd caused in my chest. My heart was skipping beats, my mind was screaming at me to do something. And then, as if she'd heard my thoughts, she looked up. Her gaze locked with mine, and in that instant, the entire world faded away. Her big eyes widened slightly, and I swear there was something there-a flicker of recognition, a hint of curiosity.
Her lips parted, soft and unsure, as if she wanted to say something but couldn't find the words. I could see it-she was thinking, her mind racing just like mine. Her gaze didn't waver, and neither did mine.
I should've said something, anything. But how could I? She looked like an angel, and I was just... me. For once, I wasn't the guy with the perfect grin or the witty remark. I was just a boy, standing under a tree, trying to catch his breath as an angel held it captive.
"Hi, I am Yug" After a long admiring session I collect all my courage to speak. It took all my ounce to speak more 4 words.
Kanika's pov
UFF... The day was so exhausted, First I look here and there to find those Chaotic group of mines, then Tired of this, I asked at the class counter, and they said still half hour remains. So, at my usual spot I start reading.
When this half hour passed, and half of the student left I don't know. Because when you are reading Books and that too fictional, god knows when people come and go when time passes. It's just you and the freaking fantastic book on your hands.
As I flipped the page of my book, I suddenly felt it-a gaze, intense and unwavering, like a soft pull at my senses. I looked up, half expecting to see one of my classmates or maybe even the occasional passerby. After all, it was the end of the college day, and no one usually lingered here this late. But instead, I saw him.
A boy.
He stood a few feet away, wearing a simple T-shirt and baggy jeans, looking like he had stepped out of a casual photo shoot. His tousled hair was styled just enough to make it look effortlessly perfect, and his eyes-oh, those eyes. They had a brightness that almost seemed unreal, like they had their own light source.
I couldn't stop myself from noticing how... charming he looked. And should I say it? Hot. Ugh, there. I admitted it, at least in my head. He wasn't just good-looking; he was the kind of handsome that made fictional heroes pale in comparison. The way he looked at me, it wasn't casual or passing-it was deliberate. Like I was some sort of rare treasure he'd stumbled upon, and he was trying to memorize every detail before it disappeared. Common don't blame me for this I am fictional Reader.
For a second, my bookish imagination took over. This felt like one of those moments where the hero admires the heroine, silently worshiping her beauty and grace. But wait... was he really admiring me? Or was he one of those good-looking boys who knew they could make any girl's heart skip a beat and played the part of the heartbreaker?
I noticed his lips then-soft, full, and ridiculously kissable. Ugh, why on earth was I thinking about his lips? Stop it, girl, I scolded myself. I lowered my gaze, trying to refocus on the book in my lap, but my mind wouldn't cooperate.
He was still looking at me, his eyes locked on mine like he was trying to read me as deeply as I'd been reading my book. But his gaze didn't make me uncomfortable. Quite the opposite-it sent this... strange, warm feeling rushing through me. A feeling I couldn't quite put into words, no matter how many books I'd read. It was like a mix of curiosity, nervousness, and something that felt a little too much like hope. After what felt like an eternity of silence, he finally spoke. His voice was smooth, like warm honey, and it made my stomach flip.
"Hi, I'm Yug."
And just like that, realization struck me. Oh no. He's Yug Jaiswal. The infamous name I'd heard so many times from our mutual friends. They'd talked about him endlessly-about how handsome he was, how effortlessly cool, and, unfortunately, how much of a playboy he could be.
A pang of something sharp hit me in the chest. Why did it hurt to know that? I didn't even know him. But there was something in the way he looked at me, something so sincere, so genuine, that it made me want to believe he wasn't like they said.
But logic told me otherwise. He was too perfect, too confident, too... everything. And yet, I couldn't stop my heart from racing or the heat from rising in my cheeks. I couldn't stop myself from wondering-just for a moment-if maybe, just maybe, he wasn't the playboy everyone said he was. If maybe, for once, the hero in my story might actually be real.
"Hi" My voice just above whisper, also slightly wavy. I don't know why but I want to cry, why me, why I can't get love, I know I have loving parents but sometimes you just need your better half for sharing your stupid thought and pour you overthinking in front of him, and confess that you too, feel fear, anxiety, depressed. Also tell them that how much you love them.
"And you?" He asked me, oh yeah, I forget to tell my name.
"Kanika Gautam" I managed to say my own name. Fuck kanii don't be so desperate for love. and after all you will not someone at first sight, of course you need time to understand him, any more things apply. OK now FOCUSE.
"Are you fresher?" he asked again.
"Yes" still kanii common where your voice gone, God Damm it!
"Which stream? "
"Commerce"
"Oh nice, by the way I am from Computer Science stream"
"Hm good". And suddenly I hear Trisha Di's voice.
" Guys... Common" She called us there. They all are also sitting on bench.
"Kanika, he is Yug, he is our friend and Yug she is Kanika, remember I told you. " She introduces us, with each other without knowing that we already introduced.
"Yes, we guys just meet!" he replies on her words. But still my mind is racing the on him, why can't he be normal boy, like normal. not a playboy.
horn....
"Guys, my car has come, see you tomorrow" I bid bye to them and walk towards the car, or say a little sprint, I don't want to turn back to see him, but this eager to turn and see him last time, fuck, fuck, fuck, kanii. paltna mat, paltna mat. with this conflict, I sat in car and thank God my driver starts the car. But still I saw him through rare view mirror. He is looking at me.
